Jen & Alex
The soon to be Bride and Groom met in the very unromantic setting of Wakefield prison, of course both of them being members of staff.
A friendship began, which lasted over a year before Alex plucked up the courage to ask Jen out on a date. They decided to go for a walk around Askam Bog, a lovely little nature reserve. It was here that the pair shared their first kiss and the beginning of their amazing journey together.
They spent time building their relationship and learning all about each other. Many dates, trips and adventures would bring them even closer together.
It's safe to say, that the better Alex and Jen got to know each other, the deeper they fell in love, built on the foundations of an amazing friendship, it was clear to see that they would choose to spend the rest of their lives together.
On the 29th July 2024, Alex decided it was time that he took Jen for a walk around where they had their first date, as it had been some time. Jen of course completely unaware of his intentions. In the depths of the woods, surrounded only by nature, Alex took Jen by the hands and looked into her eyes, and then got down on one knee, to ask her if she would do him the greatest honour of becoming his wife.
Spoiler alert!!! She said YES!!!!
Alex and Jen cannot wait to have you there to witness and celebrate them becoming Husband and Wife.

An incredible friend, first met in 2018 at a local running club. Chloe has been with Jen through a lot of hard times and has really helped her come out the other side, who knows where she would be without her.

Jo ~ Bridesmaid
Friends with Jen since 2012, Jo has been an amazing friend and support, a little badass who Jen always wants by her side.
Kat ~ Bridesmaid
Jen has worked with Kat since 2018, Kat has done a brilliant job of keeping Jen sane in (and out of) work.
Lisa ~ Bridesmaid
Jen is gaining a beautiful new sister in law, they met in 2020 and clicked straight away.
Louise ~ Bridesmaid
Jen’s brother (John - Groomsman) and Louise married in 2014. Jen and Lou have known each other since 2004. More than a sister in law but an incredible and hilarious friend.
Lucy ~ Bridesmaid
Best friends since 1996, Lucy is more like a sister to Jen than anything else.
AJ ~ Bridesman
Never a dull moment when AJ’s around. An amazing friend to the couple, first met Jen in 2018.

Jen is very excited to have a mother in law like Rose! She’s just wonderful in every way.

Best Men ~ Craig and Lewis
Craig and Lewis are Alexs closest friends. They have both played huge parts in Alex’s life in many ways, it only made sense that they would both be his best men.

Martin
Alex invited this big yin out for beers following rugby training session when Martin was 18, and he stuck around ever since. Possibly the funniest man you will meet. Ask him what he does for a living!

A Rugby brother, and a great mate. He's just a cracking Bloke!

Travel & Transport
There is plenty of free parking at the venue
Nearest train station is Menston, 3 miles from the venue. If you're planning to arrive there, let us know and we'll arrange for someone to drive and collect you. Otherwise you might be better stopping at a mainline station like Leeds and getting a taxi the 10 miles from there.
The venue is close to Leeds Bradford Airport - taxis that do airport shuttles will probably take you there.
Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is close by for those of you flying in. If you are bringing your private jet, the Multiflight Executive Terminal (EGNM) offers a full Fixed Base Operator (FBO) service

We are going on a mini moon in the Lake District after the wedding, but we are hoping to go on a beautiful honeymoon in 2026. Any contributions towards making this experience even more special will be gratefully welcomed
